Yoga is a 3000 year old teaching that originated in India. Yoga has spread worldwide in recent years and has become an integral part of the Western world. Yoga is neither religion nor sport, but rather a holistic way of life that frees people from physical and psychological suffering. So you could also call it a lifestyle.

VISION

Nowadays in the western world yoga is almost only associated with asanas (yoga postures), i.e. physical movement, although yoga consists of many more parts. Yoga encompasses a holistic way of life, which is described with 5 simple principles.

MISSION

The word "yoga" translated means unity, union. This refers to the union of body, mind, and spirit, which is sought in yoga through regular practice. The goal of yoga is the quieting of the mind, or in Sanskrit, "Citta vritti nirodgha." Yoga is the state in which the mental-spiritual impulses come to rest. The state of yoga is achieved through perfect mastery of thought and feeling.

Practicing Yoga

MOVEMENTAsana

Yoga exercises focus primarily on the health of the spine. A flexible and strong spine intensifies blood circulation and ensures a powerful and youthful body. Yoga asanas increase the flexibility of joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons. They stimulate the circulation and stimulate the function of internal organs.

BREATHINGPranayama

Yoga breathing connects the body with its battery, the solar plexus, where enormous energy reserves are stored. Through deep and conscious breathing, more energy reserves are available in everyday life - stress and many diseases (e.g. depression) can be overcome and health and well-being can be strengthened.
